Hundreds of millions of people worldwide are connected to their favorite things because to our media, technology, and business platforms. We're all about putting an exclamation point on what you're into through apps and websites like Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Fantasy, Yahoo Mail, and more along with a strong, open platform that links brands and publishers to fervent fans.
Born Adaptable
Yahoo works to make sure that everyone can use our services, which are created with inclusivity from the start. We committed to providing closed captions on all future user-facing videos, including partner material, that is broadcast on our own video players earlier this year and have since increased our captioning efforts. We gave $5M in media to a number of disability organizations, such as the National Association of the Deaf, the American Council of the Blind, and the American Association of People with Disabilities, in support of their advocacy activities. We follow the advice of our users at all times.
The Accessibility Lab interior
Enter our Accessibility Lab to see how visitors and staff may learn to create goods that are accessible to those with impairments. Video description: Kisiah Timmons, Larry Goldberg, and Margaux Joffe—accessibility experts—discuss the objectives and effects of the Accessibility Lab in the video. A braille display, alternative switches, a foot pedal, bone conduction headphones, and a big yellow trackball are a few of the innovations highlighted. An aerial image of Silicon Valley, California's daybreak beyond mountains and roads, opens the video.
The League for the Blind Only
Using our accessibility capabilities on the Yahoo Fantasy app, the All Blind Fantasy Football League has been playing fantasy football for six years. We are excited to present this group in a brief documentary so that you can get to know the players, learn about their backgrounds, and hear the smack talk in action.
The native Yahoo Fantasy app features improved screen reader compatibility, a logical layout, and usability thanks in large part to the feedback of blind users who were involved in the design and development process. Additionally, it offers high contrast, scalable font settings, and other accessibility features that were created in collaboration with and put to the test by blind Fantasy players.
